FM22 Ligue 1 Wonderkids

The French Ligue 1 is still a favorite competition in Football Manager. Paris Saint-Germain dominate, but the teams below are very evenly matched. It is therefore nice to start a long-term save in Ligue 1 with a smaller club to knock PSG off the throne, for example.

The French league is also a place for young talent to develop. Just think of Kylian Mbappe who is now one of the best players in the world. But also to Eduardo Camavinga, a -10 talent who now plays for Real Madrid. Ligue 1 is a great competition and in FM22 there is again plenty of talent to be found!

On this list we have tried to find the best wonderkids from Ligue 1, using our very own FMInside FM22 Player Database. To make the list easy to navigate we have divided the list into four sections:  Defenders, Midfielders and Forwards. 

Before we kick-off with the list we also want to point towards our downloadable FM22 Wonderkids Shortlist to use directly in your game. The players on this list are included as well as hundreds of others!

FM22 Ligue 1 Wonderkids

The selection on our list has been created with the following criteria:

• League = Ligue 1
• Age = Max 21
• Potential = At least 79.4 or higher

For the potential we use our own FMInside Rating instead of the original ratings from Football Manager.

Defenders

An increase in defenders compared to the number of wonder kids in FM21. The majority of these players play for Paris Saint-Germain, AS Monaco or Olympique Marseille. Fortunately, we also see the talented Timothee Pembele who plays for Bordeaux.

Midfielders

In the midfield we find a total of six players. There are some nice talents among them, such as the American Konrad de la Fuente, who was taken over from FC Barcelona. Also keep an eye on Aurelien Tchouameni. He is already a real beast and can develop into a great defensive midfielder!

Forwards

In terms of strikers, things are sparse in Ligue 1. There are only two players who make the list and one of them is even more of a winger than a striker. Both are well-known names for the Football Manager player and will have been under contract with many of us.
