FM22 Serie A Wonderkids

The Italian Serie A is back at the top of global football. After a small setback - partly due to competition from the Bundesliga - the Italian teams struggled to keep up with the Premier League and LaLiga. The Serie A is now one of the best competitions in Europe and often produces great players.

Talent is generally not something you think of when you think of Italy. Here you mainly see the more experienced players and every defender seems to be over 30. Yet there are great talents in the world who play in the Serie A and there are absolutely amazing talents to be found in FM22. However, the Italians will still have to gain ground in the field of goalkeepers. This list does not have a single goalkeeper, something that is still a lack for this wonderkids list!

For this list we have tried to find the best wonderkids from the Serie A, using our very own FMInside FM22 Player Database. To make the list easy to navigate we have divided the list into four sections: Defenders, Midfielders and Forwards. 

Before we kick-off with the list we also want to point towards our downloadable FM22 Wonderkids Shortlist to use directly in your game. The players on this list are included as well as hundreds of others!

FM22 Serie A Wonderkids

The selection on our list has been created with the following criteria:

• League = Serie A
• Age = Max 21
• Potential = At least 79.4 or higher

For the potential we use our own FMInside Rating instead of the original ratings from Football Manager.

Defenders

Just like in previous editions of Football Manager, Matthijs de Ligt is the biggest wonderkid in the Serie A. Outside the Dutchman, the number of defensive talents is somewhat disappointing. They are all good players, but none of them have the 'wow factor'. What is also striking is that there are almost no backs in between. They are almost all central defenders.

Midfielders

Fortunately, we find some top players in midfield, although they are all already known to the general public. Sandro Tonali, Nicolo Zaniolo and Dejan Kulusevski are of course the most well-known. It is also nice to see that the young Belgian Alexis Saelemakers appears on the list. He has had a potential boost since FM21 and is an amazing talent in FM22.

Forwards

In terms of strikers, Serie A is doing very well again. You have some really huge talents like Dusan Vlahovic and Moise Kean and below that you have great players with a high dynamic potential. One player to keep an eye on is Kaio Jorge, who has been under contract with Juventus since this season. He is an enormous talent and has the skills to grow into an absolute world-class player.
