FM23 Wonderkids - Full Backs

The modern full-back is so much more than he was ten years ago. From a defending minded player he first developed into a more attacked-minded player but since then he has developed even further. A full-back now needs to be a modern player, a player who can both attack, defend and have the skills to play the ball. You can truly say the modern full-back is an allround player.

Important - The list we present is based on the positions a player could play in. It is therefore possible a player will pop-up on more than one list. There are several examples of full-backs who can play on both sides of the pitch.

FM23 Wonderkid Right Full-Backs

One thing we noticed about this list is that there are very few really cheap right-backs in FM23. You can easily pay more than 10 million for a decent and talented player. That shows how the back has developed over the past few years and this player is much more comparable to midfielders.

FM23 Wonderkid Left Full-Backs

We also see a lot of expensive players among the left backs and it seems difficult to purchase a talented defender for a reasonable price. There are only two players on the list that cost you less than 15 million and those two are nowhere near good enough for a place in the starting line-up at a club that can afford these prices. It will therefore have to be a good search or you have to hope that one of these players will be on the transfer list or that he can be picked up on a free transfer.
