Wonderkid Left Wingers

The position of the left winger has evolved in the 21st century. Where the left wing attacker initially had the chalk of the sidelines on their boots and was their main focus to deliver a cross, the left winger has now become a mix of a striker and an attacking midfielder. Left-wing attackers used to be invariably left-footed, but now you see more and more right-footed players on the left side.

Players like Sadio Mane, Cristiano Ronaldo no longer act as the traditional left winger but are really semi strikers, scoring the most goals for their teams. This position has also evolved enormously in Football Manager. You no longer have a single role for a winger but you have various roles, ranging from an Inside Forward to a Playmaker or even a specialist role like a Raumdeuter.

On this list you see the best left wingers with a maximum age of 21. They can all play as an AML, though some of them need some development to become natural on the position.

Because there are so many players for this list we have decided to divide the list into three seperate sections. First you have the 'Elite Left Wingers'. These players have a high Current Ability and a Potential Ability of at least 85. Then we move over to the 'Classy Left Wingers'. They have a lower current ability and a maximum potential ability of 84.

Last on the list you have the 'Good Left Wingers'. These are the players who have a good potential but also the players who have a dynamic potential. This makes it difficult to really judge them on their potential as this will vary with every save you start.
