Securing a talented player at a bargain price is almost the same as striking gold. And most of these talents will need a big transfer fee to sign them in Football Manager. However, one of the most exciting to explore is the realm of players with expiring contracts. These players, often overlooked by bigger clubs, can be absolute game-changers for teams looking to bolster their squads without breaking the bank.

While you can decide to wait until a player's contract is expired, it is also possible to try and sign these players for a limited fee. Before their contracts end, players can discuss contract terms in the final six months of their contract, but before they do their clubs could often try and offload the player as they hope to receive a small transfer fee.
