FM24.3 Wonderkids - Right-backs

The modern day full-back is so much more than he was ten years ago. Where a full-back was a defending minded player at first, the modern full-back holds an essential role in build-up play and attacking shapes. The modern full-back does not only need to defend, but also needs to be able to play the ball, give a good cross and have the fitness and stamina to cover a large areas on the side of the pitch.

In this article we have collected the best full-backs in Football Manager 2024 by using our own Player Database.

Important - The list we present is based on the positions a player could play in. It is therefore possible a player will pop-up on more than one list. There are several examples of full-backs who can play on both sides of the pitch.

FM24 World Class Right-Backs

There are some great young right-backs to be found in FM24, and you can clearly see that you pay a lot for a talented full-back these days. There are already examples of players who cost more than 100 million. We'd like to highlight Martim Fernandes from this list. The 17-year-old Portuguese plays in the youth team of FC Porto and has the talent to follow in the footsteps of players like Joao Cancelo. Definitely one to keep an eye on!

FM24 Good Right-backs

Among the good right-backs, you'll also find some players who might be more interesting for the lower leagues. Even on this list, you'll see some very expensive players like Yan Couto and Amar Dedic. Fortunately, there is room for some cheaper young talent as well! For example, Englishman Ethan Laird is an interesting player to watch, and Northern Irish Trai Hume will only cost you around 700k.

FM24 Decent Right Backs

The last and longest list is for the decent backs. These guys have talent but won't become the next Kyle Walker. However, considering their age and potential, they can still be interesting to keep an eye on. Among these players, you'll also notice the expected transfer value dropping significantly. So there are plenty of guys on this list who can be picked up for a small fee from their clubs. We'd like to highlight Nathanial Adjei, who plays for Hammarby. He will only cost you 100k. The Spanish back Joseda is also very affordable and is certainly open to an adventure in a higher division.
