The South Europeans are known for their experienced and disciplined defenders but in recent years they have seen several talented youngsters breaking through in the Serie A as the average age of the Serie A has dropped.

Criteria to make it on the list:

• Players are 21-years-old or younger
• Players have a Potential Ability of at least 150 or -8
• Italian nationality
