In this guide we will explain how to install the FM20 editor.
Step 1: Open your Library in Steam
This step is different from previous years. Steam has been given a make-over and you will now be able to find all game content in your library folder.
Step 2: Use the search box
Use the search option to search for Football Manager 2020. You will see that there are two types of search results: games & tools. You will find the editor under 'tools'.
Step 3: install FM20 editor
Now simply select the editor and follow the steps in Steam. The editor will now be installed on your machine. After the installation has been completed you can start the editor and start editting content.
Examples of what you can create with the editor:
- FMI Update 2020 - an update with the latest transfers.
- New leagues & competitions
- Missing wonderkids or other players
System requirements
The editor of Football Manager 2020 is a powerful tool and uses the full extend of the Database. For the FM20 pre-game editor to run in optimal conditions, it is recommended that your system runs on a minimum of 2GB RAM.
When using the editor on a low-end system, you might experience poor or slower performances.
