A unique skin for Football Manager 2021 which hides all the attributes and star ratings.
Taking massive inspiration from sebastian_starttrbts’s excellent “Non-Numeric Attributes” skin, and being incredibly grateful in getting his permission to include the work of his skin here, this is my attempt at continuing the vision with “NoStars+Attributes21”.
Having played FM for 20+ years I wanted to try something a bit different and more challenging. Having discovered the wonderful “Non-Numeric Attributes” and DaniDots “DD2021RM” skins, plus skins of the past, it's inspired me to try out something myself, and although there is essentially nothing new here, the way it is presented is slightly different.
I had gotten lazy in using the star system throughout the game. Only ever signing prospects with solid 4 star potential with a blacked out 5th. Continually altering my tactics based purely on what star rating any given player had in a chosen role and position. Abusing the player search functions. I wanted rid of them.
The skin uses the "Base21Dark" skin as it's base. I’ve always been a fan of the “base skins” because I like to build a skin the way i want it, and although perfectly playable as it is, the “NoStars+Attributes” skin has a lot of room to be added to and has been designed with that in mind.
What it does

Removes ALL traces of the star system. No current ability stars, no potential ability stars, no reputation stars, no staff stars in training

Removes ALL traces of any text referencing current and potential ability and all relevant panels have been tweaked to make it look like the system was never there, including the removal of most hints (see notes below)

Removes the numerical attributes and replaces them with icons that change colour based on the thresholds you set and a player’s progression using the latest base version of “Non-Numeric Attributes”

Adds text descriptions of reputation where possible to replace the stars

Removes the player search and staff search functions

Adds back in links to coaches and scouts in report screens

Adds stadium pictures to club info screen and schedule screen

How to install No Stars & No attributes skin
- Download the skin
- Use a tool like Winrar or 7zip to extract the content of the download on your system
- Extract the contents of the folder into:\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2021\skins\
If the skins folder doesn''t exist, you can create it manually. - Run Football Manager and navigate to Preferences > Interface.
- In the skin section use the drop down to select the skin. If you have followed the steps correctly you will see the custom skin in the drop down list.
- Hit confirm and the skin will be loaded.
