The staff members on these shortlists represent the best backroom staff members in Football Manager 2023. We have included every single role in the game, giving you a complete overview of the best staff members! A total of 1624 (1162 if you take away the duplicates) staff members are on the shortlists.

To make it easier for filtering, we have decided to create seperate shortlists for each staff role. That way it will be easier for you to find the best staff members for the role you are looking to sign. Upload the shortlists in your save and use them to find the best staff per role.

Search Criteria

To determine the best backroom staff in Football Manager 2023 we have applied certain search criteria for each role. Below you will see an overview of all the different search criteria we have used in the staff finder in Football Manager 2023.

Also important to share is the fact we have used the Preferred Job option in the Staff finder. This way you won't be trying to sign Jurgen Klopp or Pep Guardiola as a scout.

Best coaches

• Coaching attributes* - At least 12 or higher
• Determination - 12 or higher
• Level of Discipline - 12 or higher
• Motivating - 12 or higher

*Coaching attributes reflect the needed attributes for every category. For example a Defensive Tactical coach has Defending and Tactical set as their Coaching attributes.

Best Scouts

• Judging Player Ability - 15 or higher
• Judging Player Potential - 15 or higher
• Adaptability - 15 or higher

Best Physios

• Physiotherapy - 14 or higher
• Motivating - 14 or higher
• Level of Discipline - 14 or higher

Assistant Managers

• People Management - 13 or higher
• Judging Player Ability - 13 or higher
• Judging Player Potential - 13 or higher

Performance Analysts

• Analysing Data - 14 or higher
• Tactical Knowledge - 14 or higher

Sports Scientists

• Sports Science - 16 or higher

Recruitment Analysts

• Analysing Data - 14 or higher
