Part 2 - First Job Offers

The game has been loaded, the leagues have been selected and my manager has been created! We have officially started playing Football Manager 2017 and we have begun our journey through the game. In this second part of my blog I will discuss the first few weeks of the game. I got my first interview as a manager and today is the day we discuss that interview. Will I find my first club, or will the club eventually pick someone else?

Applying for jobs

Starting unemployed is always good fun. There were about a 1.000 possible jobs to get (mainly because I loaded up numerous lower leagues that do not have real managers installed. I then went on holiday for two months, making sure most jobs would be filled. It is a standard thing I do, don't know why really... After the holiday mode was finished most clubs has contract a manager, so that was the right time for me to get going and apply for jobs.

The Offers

After I applied on forty different vacancies, I managed to got 4 offers in the bag. From these offers I will pick my first club as a Football Manager.

1. Chomutov - Czech Republic - Fifth Division - Amateur - Expectation: 3rd

2. SV Höngg - Switzerland - Fourth Division - Amateur - Expectation : 7th

3. Retford United - England - Baris Premier (Lvl 10) - Semi Professional - Expectation: 14th

4. Stavely Miners Welfare - Engald - Baris Premier (Lvl 10) - Semi-Professional - Expectation: 16th

So, there are four offers on the table and I now have to make an important decision. Will I take the challenge to manage on the English tenth level, or do I pick a club from a division you don't see that often in the Football Manager community? The choice will be made tomorrow as I will announce my club in part III of the Journeyman. So, if you want to find out which club I will pick, keep following me!

User Feedback

Those are some neat offers. the English once might be the easiest since their semi professional. But managing in a country like the Czech Republic or Switzerland certainally sound interesting. I'm looking forward to the next part.

You have some good options. I think you will pick the Czech or Swiss team, because you already had a few LLM-games in England.
