This is the Forward Madison FC Challenge in Football Manager 2020. A challenge that was posted on Reddit last week by the club itself. We found it, talked to the club and then agreed to collaborate on the challenge. Below you will read how to enter the challenge and where you can download the Forward Madison FC Megapack.
Text by the club
We’re Forward Madison FC, a third-division American soccer club based in Madison, Wisconsin. We played our first season in 2019, meaning Football Manager 2020 is the first time we’ve been included in the game. Since some of us are long-time FM players, we thought it might be a good opportunity to have a little bit of fun with it, so we’re issuing you a challenge: Take us to the top, and we’ll reward you!
If you play as Forward Madison FC and win the American first division, we’ll mail you a personalized letter signed by our real-life manager, Daryl Shore.
How to enter the Challenge
After you have downloaded the essential files (find the link below) and installed them properly you will have to start a new save. Take control at Madison and try to win the American First Division.
Once completed, take screenshots of your journey from bottom to top and send an e-mail to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Also, it would be fun to follow your progression in a special Forward Madison topic on the official FMInside Forum.
Forward Madison Megapack
As Forward Madison is not playable in the standard database of Football Manager, we at FMInside contacted the club and offered them to help out. We reached out to our most trusted partners (DF11, FMSlovakia and TCM Logos) for aid. Together we have created an awesome megapack.
This essential add-on for this challenge includes:
- Updated rosters by FMInside
- Facepack by DF11
- Home, Away & Third kit by FMSlovakia
- Logos by TCM Logos.
Forward Madison FC
We formed Forward Madison FC in 2018, kicking off in the 10-team USL League One in 2019. Madison is the state capital and second-biggest city in Wisconsin, home to 250,000 people. Our name, ‘Forward’ is Wisconsin’s state motto, while the pink flamingo featured on our crest is a reference to one of the great (if irreverent) symbols of Madison.
Our stadium, Breese Stevens Field, was built in 1926 as a baseball ground, but has changed along with the city, and hosted a league-best 4,292 fans per game last year. We ended up finishing fourth in League One in 2019, made it to the third round of the U.S. Open Cup, and hosted friendlies with Hertha Berlin, Minnesota United, and Leones Negros.
