Be a Pro Update 2

The first season has been played, so it's time to see how all of you have done in the world of Football Manager 2019! In this first update we will be discussing the first 5 players, the other 5 will be posted tomorrow!

Daniel Morrison - @Morrison03

Daniel Morrison has not made his professional debut yet. He has played for the U23 team on several occasions. He now has sight on first team football in the second season with Burton Albion, Portsmouth & Shrewsbury interested in his services. Liverpool has decided Daniel can leave on a loan in the next season.

image.png

2. Ricård þór Birgirsson - @Richarð.

A productive first season for Ricard in Iceland. He has made 7 appearances for the U19 team, scoring 5 goals 😮. It seems to be a matter of time before Ricard will make his first team debut! Will we see some first team action next season?

image.png

3. Niall Kaye @Football Manager Debate

Niall has played 51 non competitive games in his first season at Manchester United. He has been made available for loan by Man United and he could be joining Daniel Morrison on loan at Burton, Portsmouth and Shrewsbury next season as all three clubs are interested in signing Kaye on a loan move!

image.png

4. Roman Mraz - @GoonerSK

We have a first team debut!! Roman Mraz made some excellent appearances for Slovan's B squad that he has been given the chance to show himself in the first team. After 15 appearances in the second league, he then made his first team debut in the Fortuna Liga. Mraz now has 5 games under his belt, scoring one goal and an average rating of 7.15.

After an impressive first season, interest is high in Mraz. Dutch sides FC Groningen and ADO Den Haag are both very interested and could make a bid during the summer. However, Mraz' preferred choice would be to make a switch to Hellas Verona, but the Italians are only interested in a loan deal, while Slovan could be willing to cash on on the 475k rated youngster.

image.png

5. Norby Arato - @norbyvagyok

Hungarian Norby Arato topped Roman Mraz by making his debut for former European giants AC Milan in his first season with the club. He has made 5 appearances in the first team, but has yet to score a goal or record an assist. His average was 6.55 during the first season and he will hope to improve his tally next season.

Be a Pro Update 3

Time to have a look at the second set of five players in their first season!

Jan Danie-Gunnink - @jandaantje

A solid first season for Gunnink, with his debut for FC Twente in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie and KNVB Beker. He was given game time in three games during his first season, while he played 26 games for the reserves. Will we see Gunnink back in the first team in the second season? Twente was promoted to the Eredivisie.

image.png

Trentin Griffin - @Treno22

No first team game time for Griffin, but the Aussie has been playing his games for the U23 team. He featured 50 times for the team, bagging 14 assists. Despite not featuring for Manchester United, Griffin has been awarded with the first milestone of this group of players as he is the first player to have earned a cap! He was given his international debut for Australia in a friendly game against Cameroon.

image.png

Stavros Aivaliotis - @SteveAiva

Greek wonderkid Stavros Aivaliotis had a marvelous season in the Greek league as he managed to claim a first team spot at PAS Giannina. Despite him having a solid season, the midfielder was unable to prevent PAS from being relegated from the Greek Super League. However, we don't expect him to be in the second league for much time as Avaliotis has caught the interest of several big teams including Manchester City, Liverpool and Manchester United.

image.png

Shavan van Pereen - @spskeen

Shavan van Pereen has made his debut for Dutch side Vitesse. The left winger played three games for the Eredivisie side in his first season. Most of the time he played for the reserves team, playing 42 games over the entire season. It is expected that the young winger will be part of the first team during the second season and we hope to see him play more regular first team football.

image.png

Yoeri Zandona - @YoeriCFC

Last but not least is Yoeri Zandona. The Dutch Italian claimed a first team spot at Dutch side Telstar and the forward featured in 36  games during the season. The striker scored 11 goals over the entire season, finishing in 5th position on the goalscorers table. Telstar however finished in last place and weren't anywhere near a top position in the league. Will we see a transfer during the summer? Or will Zandona stay at Telstar?

Be a Pro Update 4

The second full season in Football Manager 2019 has passed! It is time to check out the performances of our players in the FMI Be a Pro signup!

Daniel Morrison

After spending the first season in the reserves, Daniel has spent a season on loan at West Bromwich Albion in the EFL Championship. After a rough start at his new club, Daniel has played 18 games for WBA, scoring 4 goals and providing 4 assists. A decent season for the 19-year-old.

image.png

Norby Arato

A difficult season for our Hungarian wonderkid in Italy. He spent the first half of the season at Milan, making 9 appearances for the first team. He was then sent on loan to Switzerland to play for Young Boys. A series of injuries kept him from holding a steady first team spot. Eventually he picked up 4  appearances, scoring 0 goals or assists.

image.png

Trentin Griffin

Spending another season in the reserves at Manchester United, Trentin Griffin is still waiting for his professional debut. He played 45 games for the reserve team, scoring 4 goals but handing 21 assists. His assist record must surely be noticed by the big boss! He has also made 3 appearances for the Australian national team, helping the team perform well in the AFC World Cup qualifying section. Will we see our first World Cup appearance in 2022?

image.png

Niall Kaye

Whilst Griffin spent his time in the reserves, Kaye decided to move away from Old Trafford on loan. A wise decision as the defender played 36 games for Burton Albion in the Championship. Burton did relegate from the Championship though, making it a tough season despite getting a lot of game time.

image.png

Roman Mraz

The first player that has made a transfer! He left Slovan Bratislava to join Dutch Eredivisie side FC Utrecht for a 850k fee. In his first season at Utrecht, Mraz played 2 games for the reserves. However after being promoted to the first team he hasn't returned to the reserves, ending up playing 6 games in the first team and scoring 3 goals. Good season for the young Mraz!

image.png

Jan-Danie Gunnink

Jan-Danie has held a first team spot at FC Twente in his second season with the team. He played 32 games for the first team, scoring 2 goals. Gunnink also became a youth international for Holland and he has played 7 games. He is currently considered a Key Player in Enschede.

image.png

Shavan van Pereen

19-year-old Shavan had a decent season for Vitesse, making a total of 16 appearances in the Eredivisie. He score 1 goal and provided 2 assists. There is currently no interest in Van Pereen and we are expecting he will stay on at Vitesse for another season. Will he break the 20 games mark next season?

image.png

Yoeri Zandona

Zandona did not have the best of seasons for Telstar. While his club managed to finish in 14th place (4 better than last season), Yoeri only scored 8 goals, finishing outside the top 10 goalscorers in the league. Lets hope Yoeri will be back on track in season three, hopefully picking up some more goals!

image.png

Stavros Aivaliotis

After relegation from the Super League, expectations were high in the 19/20 season! Unfortunately PAS finished in 5th place and then failed to secure promotion through the play-offs. Stavros had a steady season, playing 28 games for the club. He scored 5 goals and provided 3 assists, scoring a 7.05 average. After missing out on promotion, interest is still high in Aivaliotis with Olympiacos and AEK Athens interested.

image.png

Ricård þór Birgirsson

Ricård is still at Stjarnan and the big attacking midfielder has yet to impress. He is playing for the U19 side and has not made a single appearance in the first team. Birgirsson currently has played 17 games, scoring 7 goals and providing 8 assists for the U19 squad. Lets hope he will be given game time soon!

Be a Pro Update 5

The third season has ended! Time to check up on our Pro's!

Norby Arato - AC Milan

Just like in the second season, Norby was kept at AC Milan for the first half of the season. He was then sent away on loan during the second half of the season. This time he was sent to Hannover 96 where he played 7 games in total. He would score 1 goal and give 1 assist. Not a good season for Arato, who desperately needs some game time!

image.png

Daniel Morrison - Liverpool

Another season on loan for Morrison, but this time it wasn't the Championship but the Premier League! He spent the full season on loan at Bournemouth and featured in 18 games over the season. He scored 6 goals and also recorded an assist.  A solid debut in the Premier League for this English youngster! And to top that: he is now a U21 international, scoring 3 goals in 7 caps. Solid season for Morrison!

image.png

Niall Kaye - Manchester United

Kaye spent a second season in the Championship. This time he was sent on loan to Derby County. He impressed again, playing 34 games (2 less than last season) and scoring 2 goals. As a starter for Derby, Kaye helped his team into the promotion play-offs. However, a loss against Middlesbrough in the semi's ended Derby's season. Despite missing out on promotion, a solid season for Kaye!

image.png

Roman Mraz - FC Utrecht

After joining Utrecht last season in a deal worth 850k, Mraz developed into a leading player for Utrecht in the Eredivisie. He played every single league game (34), scoring 8 goals and assisting 2. Utrecht finished in a solid 6th place in the Eredivisie and qualified for the Europa League play-offs. They lost to Feyenoord, who grabbed the final ticket for Europe.

There is also some transfer news for Mraz. It is believed two big teams have interest: Ajax & AS Roma. Both teams have shown major interest in the young Slovakian, who has a 15m release clause in his contract!

image.png

Trentin Griffin - Manchester United

Another difficult season for Trentin Griffin in Manchester. While his team mate Kaye has been developing his skills out on loan, Griffin has been playing in United's U23 squad. He made 42 appearances for the reserves, providing 20 assists. Lets hope the Aussie will get some senior playing time soon as he already lost his place in Australia's squad.

image.png

Jan-Danie Gunnink - FC Twente

Gunnink had another solid season for Twente. He played 32 games as a central defender and helped the team finish in a well deserved 8th position, just outside of the Europa League play-offs. After a second solid season in a row, Gunnink could be out on his way at Twente. Sevilla has major interest in the defender, while AC Milan are also monitoring his development. Will he make a transfer this summer?

image.png

Shavan van Pereen - Vitesse

The Dutch left winger had a similar season as last season at Vitesse. He made 16 appearances for the first team, 11 of those as a substitute. He mainly played for the reserves, who play in the Dutch Third division. He did feature in Vitesse's KNVB Beker run, making two appearances and scoring his only senior goal of the season.

image.png

Stavros Aivaliotis - Olympiacos

Major transfer for Stavros as he joined Greek giants Olympiacos in a 675k transfer from PAS. After joining Olympiakos, the current Greek champions, he had some difficulties adjusting to the higher level. He has only featured in 8 games in his first season and has yet to score his first goal or get an assist. Playing for the reserves he has made 8 appearances, scoring 1 goal and assisting 7. Lets hope Stavros will be a first team regular in the season 2021/2022.

image.png

Ricård þór Birgirsson - Stjarnan

While Ricard has been given the number 10 shirt at Stjarnan, the attacking midfielder is still having troubles breaking into the first team. He made 8 appearances for the first team, grabbing three assist but no goals. In the fourth season he will need to start playing regular games, as the Iceland U21 international seriously needs some game time or he will need to leave the club at one point!

image.png

Yoeri Zandona - No club

Last but not least is Zandona. He decided to leave Telstar after three seasons on a free transfer. In his third full season he played 37 games for the club, scoring 12 goals. At the end of the season his club finished in 17th position. That helped Zandona in his decision to reject a new contract at Telstar and leave the club on a free transfer. The striker, who has scored 31 goals in 102 league appearances for Telstar is looking for a new club, but has not been lucky enough to find a new one. Lets hope he will find a new club soon!

Be a Pro Update 6

The fourth season has ended! Time to check up on our Pro's!

Norby Arato - AC Milan

Still at AC Milan, but this season Norby had a quality season in Italy. He was not sent on loan and he managed to get 32 first team appearances (21 in the league). The Attacking Midfielder appears to have claimed a spot in the first team, which is a big step forward in his career! He was even named in AC Milan's Seasonal Best Eleven. A true quality season for Arato!

image.png

Daniel Morrison - Liverpool

Will we ever see Morrison in a Liverpool jersey? He was sent away on loan for the third consecutive season. This time he played for Stoke City in the Championship. He played 48 games, scoring 18 goals. With Stoke City he claimed the title in the Championship, securing promotion to the Premier League. This year he featured in the Championship Team of the Year and he broke the Stoke City record for scoring 18 goals.

image.png

Niall Kaye - Manchester United

Third season in a row for Kaye to be sent on loan. This time he played for Watford, who were relegated from the Premier League. He managed to play 22 games for Watford. He did win promotion with the Hornets behind champions Stoke City. A decent season for Kaye, but he will need to up his game if he wants to keep on playing for Manchester United.

image.png

Roman Mraz - Club Brugge

Transfer time! Our Slovakian friend Roman Mraz has earned yet another transfer! After becoming a first team regular at FC Utrecht, Mraz was picked up by Belgian giants Club Brugge for almost 16M, which is a club record. Just like at FC Utrecht, Mraz had a difficult first season at his new club. He only played 13 games during the season. However, he did score 7 goals in the league. Lets hope he will improve yet again to make another big money move!

image.png

Trentin Griffin - Manchester United

Highlight of the season: His debut for Manchester United in the FA Cup! Griffin has played 75 minutes for Manchester United against Lincoln City. Other than that: another disaster season for Griffin, who has been playing for the reserves in the entire season. And you have to say: with 20 assists in 41 games he has been performing very well. Will he finally get a chance in the new season? But with Paul Pogba, Joao Felix and Lorenzo Pellegrini as your competitors it will be hard... Time to leave?

image.png

Jan-Danie Gunnink - FC Twente

Still going strong at FC Twente! A solid season for the defender and this time he played every single game for Twente in the Eredivisie. And that is not it: he has been named as Vice captain at the club! A big step forward for the young Dutch defender! In the meantime this could be Gunnink's last season in Enschede as WBA, Everton and Dortmund are interested. Will we see a big money move this summer?

image.png

Shavan van Pereen - Vitesse

Same ol, same ol for the Dutch left winger at Vitesse. Still not a first team regular, but a backup player. He made 15 appearances in the Eredivisie and 2 in the Cup. Most of the time he played for the reserves. The Dutch U21 international needs to step us his game and become a first team regular in Arnhem.

image.png

Stavros Aivaliotis - Olympiacos

A good second season for Stavros at Olympiacos. After a difficult first season, he made 16 appearances in the league and 22 overall. With the club  he won the double and he featured in the clubs seasonal best eleven. Highlight of the season: his international debut versus Japan. Stavros has now been capped 2 times.

image.png

Ricård þór Birgirsson - Stjarnan

Good news: Ricard is now a first team player at Stjarnan. He has made 18 appearances since the last update, was a part of the team that won the Deildabikar (League Cup) in 2021 and was named in the team's overall best eleven. He is considered a key player at Stjarnan and he has recently signed a new contract at the club until october 2023.

image.png

Yoeri Zandona - De Graafschap

After he left his beloved Telstar, Zandona joined De Graafschap on a free transfer. He played the majority of the games, picking up 27 appearances. He scored a total of 5 goals for his new side, which seems a decent number for a new player and considering he is a back-up player. This summer Yoeri could make a transfer as FC Dordrecht are interested and could be tempted to make an offer. With De Graafschap he finished in 11th place.

This is soo funny 😂 A lot of Telstar players are “poached” by De Graafschap in real life.. A lot of players from their current first team, or at least the best players, have all come from Telstar
