17-year-old Brazilian Paulinho is one of those exciting prospects in Football Manager 2019 that you should always have on your shortlist. We take a look at the young left winger to see how he develops.
Seeing Paulinho has only just joined Bayer Leverkusen in the summer, the Brazilian wonderkid will not be available for a move until at least the January window. Bayer paid 18.5M for the youngster and that shows that they have the utmost confidence in his abilities. We expect that Leverkusen will not be allowing Paulinho to leave the club for a reasonable fee for some seasons.

Paulinho – 2018
As we said earlier, Paulinho is a fresh signing at Bayer Leverkusen. He has signed on a 18.5m deal, but that doesn’t mean he will be playing right away. Seeing he is considered a hot prospect, we do expect him to get some minutes, but he will probably be coming in from the bench for the first few seasons.
Paulinho – 2028
After ten years Paulinho has decided to stay inside the German Bundesliga as he completed a move to Bayern Munich in the 2025 summer window. Bayern paid 75M for the left winger and since joining he has been a key played for the Bavarians. During his career (which will not end for a couple of years) he has won multiple trophies, including two DFB Pokals, 2 Bundesliga’s, a Champions League, a UEFA Supercup and the FIFA World Club Cup.
Surprisingly he earned his first cap for Brazil in 2026 and has only featured twice for the Selecao. That is odd seeing the left winger is one of the better players in the game.
