The 19-year-old Kai Havertz is one of Germany’s leading future stars. He has already made his debut for the national team and is seen as the natural successor of Mesut Ozil. We checked the Bayer Leverkusen midfielder in Football Manager 2019.
You will have to dig deep in your pockets to sign Havertz during the first transfer window. He has a long-term contract and he is a first team player at Bayer Leverkusen. We eventually managed to reach an agreement for Havertz on a 85M fee. Bayer also demanded a 50% buy-on clause. We suggest you wait a little longer to buy the 19-year-old, he will be easier to sign as the seasons progress.

Havertz is Leverkusen’s best AMC at the start of the game. If he plays will depend on the formation the club uses in the Bundesliga. We have seen saves where he is a key player in a 4-2-3-1, but we have also seen Leverkusen play in a 4-3-3 formation without Havertz on the team.
