Scottish minnows appoint young manager

12.06.2017 | Tynecastle FC have announced the appointment of James Speed as the club’s new manager. The 28-year-old London born football manager has put pen to paper under a one-year contract at the Scottish club. Tynecastle currently plays in the Central Taxis East of Scotland Premier Division, the 7th tier in Scottish football. “I am very excited to start my career as a football manager at this club and I hope we can achieve great things while I am here”, Speed was quoted on the official website.

Tynecastle ready to invest in backroom staff

14.06.2017 | Newly appointed manager James Speed has been given the approval of the Tynecastle board to start investing in his backroom staff. The 28-year-old manager had urged his club directors to appoint two new coaches, a new head physio, a new head scout and two scouts in order to compete for the top positions in the league. Tynecastle has confirmed that the club has placed several adverts in the job market and hopes to welcome applicants before the season starts in the first weekend of August.

Preseason schedule announced by Tynecastle

16.06.2017 | Tynecastle FC have announced their preseason schedule for the 2017/2018 season. The Scottish club will be starting it’s preseason match schedule on June 24 with an away game against Bathgate Thistle and will be ending it against Blackburn United on July 31st, a week before the new EOS Premier season will kick-off.

Tynecastle secures signing of former Rangers player

22.06.2017 | Tynecastle FC have completed the signing of Josh Jeffries. The 19-year-old is a former youth player of Rangers FC and spent last season on loan at League Two club Stirling, making five appearances in the league. After he returned from his loan spell, the former Scottish giants decided not to extend his contract. Tynecastle have now signed the versatile attacking midfielder on a non-contract.

“We are happy to announce Josh”, Tynecastle’s head coach James Speed said on the club’s official website. He is a talented player whose versatility will be a great addition to this squad. We are confident he will be one of our key players for this season in the EOS Premier.”


Goals galore as Speed makes debut as Tynecastle manager

24.06.2017 | An eventful game for Tynecastle FC as the Scottish club played it’s first game under the new head coach James Speed. ON a warm summer afternoon in June, Tynecastle and Bathgate Thistly managed to entertain the crowd that had taken the effort to watch the two teams play. The home club got on the score sheet first, with a well-timed shot after only 35 seconds of play. After that Tynecastle took control of the game and grabbed a well-deserved 1-3 lead after goals from Robbie Wallace, Andy Moore and Greg Ross.

The four goals weren’t enough for the two teams, as both clubs would continue to score goals in the second half. Bathgate would equalise through Colin Hillcoat and Gregor McCallum, with Tynecastle grabbing a 3-4 lead through Scott Burns. Just before the final whistly, Bathgate drew the score as McCallum got his second goal to end the game in an entertaining 4-4 draw.

Tynecastle signs two strikers in one day

28.06.2017 | Tynecastle FC have secured the signing of two strikers for the coming season. Paul Esslemont (18) and Colin MacLean (21) have both been signed on a non-contract and will joining James Speed’s side with an immediate effect. Both players spent two weeks on trial at Tynecastle and managed to convince the English manager of their qualities. “We are actively looking for players to join our club and we are very happy to have secured the signing of two strikers. With their signatures, we have signed the strikers we wanted”, Speed was quoted by the regional newspaper. Esslemont and MacLean could make their debut on July 1st when Tynecastle will be hosting Pollok.

Physio signs one-year deal at Tynecastle

30.06.2017 | Nicole Logan is Tynecastle FC’s new physio. The 42-year-old Glasgow born has been handpicked by head coach James Speed after she applied for the job as the club’s physio. “We are very happy Nicole has signed with us”, Speed said. “When I arrived at the club there wasn’t a medical department and with her signing we have made a good start in creating a professional environment.”
