5 Updated Database teams you should use in FM19

The January transfer window has closed! After many rumours and some huge signings made, clubs have now finalised their squads for the remainder of the 2018/19 season! With that in mind, we wanted to take a look at 5 teams who have particularly added well and who you should consider trying out on FM19!

Major Transfer In: Gonzalo Higuain (Loan), Christian Pulisic (64m)

Major Transfers Out: Cesc Fabregas (Undisclosed), Alvaro Morata (Loan), Victor Moses (Loan), Christian Pulisic (Loan), Michy Batshuayi (Loan)

First up is the 2016/17 Premier League champions, Chelsea. Sarri’s side have added 2 huge signings, with Christian Pulisic and Gonzalo Higuain joining. Whilst Pulisic has rejoined Borussia Dortmund on loan, these are still 2 big name signings who are bound to becmome stars for Chelsea, hopefully with you as manager.

With the dead wood being cleared out in Cesc Fabregas, Alvaro Morata and Victor Moses, this gives an opportunity to youngsters like Calum Hudson-Odoi and Ruben Loftus-Cheek to step and fulfill their potential.

2. AC Milan

Major Transfers In: Krzysztof Piatek (35m), Lucas Paqueta (35m)

Major Tranfers Out: Alen Halilovic (Loan)

Next up is Gonzalo Huguain’s former club, AC Milan. The Italian giants have added just 2 players, but they are 2 FM wonderkids. With highy-rated Brazilian attacking midfielder Lucas Paqueta and one of Serie A’s top scorers Krzysztof Piatek joining, AC Milan could easily be title challengers in the Italian first division!

Major Transfers In: Dominic Solanke (19m), Chris Mepham (13m), Nathaniel Clyne (Loan)

Major Transfers Out: Jermain Defoe (Loan), Tyrone Mings (Loan)

Premier League over-achievers Bournemouth have added very smartly this January. Securing the permanent signings of highly-rated youngsters Dominic Solanke and Chris Mepham could prove to be good for the future. The loan signing of Nathaniel Clyne from Liverpool is also a very good one. With these additions, Bournemouth are more than good enough to challenge for Europe!

Eintracht Frankfurt

Major Transfers In: Almamy Toure (750k), Tuta (1.8m), Sebastian Rode (Loan), Martin Hinteregger (Loan)

Major Transfers Out: Carlos Salcedo (8.8m), Felix Weidwald (Loan)

Last season’s feel-good story of the Bundesliga, Eintracht Frankfurt have not stopped progressing, despite the departure of Niko Kovac to Bayern Munich. With an already electric front 3, Frankfurt have improved their defence this January. With FM wonderkid Almamy Toure, along with the loan signings of Sebastian Rode and Martin Hinteregger, Frankfurt are quickly becoming one of the hottest clubs in Europe right now!

AS Monaco

Major Transfers In: Cesc Fabregas (Undiclosed), Fode Ballo-Toure (11m), Naldo (2m), Gelson Martins (Loan), Georges-Kevin N’Koudou (Loan), Adrien Silva (Loan)

Major Transfers Out: Youri Tielemans (Loan), Antonio Barreca (Loan), Almamy Toure (750k)

Club legend Thierry Henry had a rather torrid time as manager of AS Monaco, getting sacked after just 3 months in the job. The once Champions League semi-finalists now find themselves battling relegation in Ligue 1 and massively under-achieving. With the additions of Cesc Fabregas, Gelson Martins and Adrien Silva, can you restore AS Monaco back to the the top of Ligue 1?

Latest players

Lewis Cook

Lewis Cook is one of the ideal Brexit players to keep watching. He plays for Bournemouth, but is keen on moving to one of the club inside the top 6. He will cost you roughly around 45 to 50 million and that is considered a steal for this type of player in the Premier League. He is a very good playmaker and could easily play for one of the big teams in the Premier League.

Lisandro Martinez

Lisandro Martinez is a real catch in Football Manager 2019. The young Argentinian is a talented centre-back and is available for an expected 7M transfer fee. Ideal player to have if you like longer saves and need a good ball playing defender who is able to develop a lot.

Julian Brandt

Julian Brandt has the potential to become one of the elite players in Football Manager 2019. The German winger shows some lethal skills and will have no trouble with playing for the biggest clubs in the world. He has a 70m price tag, which seems a fair price in modern football.

Franck Kessie

If you are looking for a tireless midfielder Franck Kessie could be the ideal player for you. The Ivorian international has all the attributes for a very good ball-winning midfielder. However, it is not possible to sign Kessie in the first two seasons as he is on a loan from Atalanta and will sign on a permanent deal for Milan in the summer of 2019.

Javairo Dilrosun

Former Manchester City left winger Javairo Dilrosun is considered as one of the bigger talents from Holland. He has the potential to become a regular international and is a very handy player if you love a left-footed left winger that will cross in the ball onto your striker. For 22.5 he could be yours, so keep an eye out for him!

Josip Brekalo

Josip Brekalo is a talented player who could develop into an awesome inside forward. The Croatian international is already a first team regular at Wolfsburg and it is expected that he will leave the club on a short term. Keep him on your shortlist as the expected 60m fee could drop after a couple of seasons.
