29-year-old Joe Ledley could be one of the major steals in Football Manager 2018 if you player with a bottom table team in the Premier League or a title challenger in the Championship. Ledley is a good player and we can’t seem to find any reason not to sign him. He has played over 500 games, and is a very physical box to box midfielder. If he keeps up the level he had in FM17, Ledley could be one of the best free agents in the game.
26-year-old former Bayern Munich and Sunderland player. Was released by the Black Cats last season after they relegated to the Championship. The 1m95 German can either play as a centre-back or as a defensive midfielder and shows technique, but also enough physical power to be a good asset to your squad. Kirchhoff would be a good player for a mid-table team in either the Premier League or Bundesliga.
31-year-old central defender who has played over 170 games in the Premier League and represented his country Cameroon 18 times. Bassong is a big centre-back, who can be given the instruction to take a striker out. He is a very good header and he will not be pulling his leg in a challenge. He is not the fastest defender, so don’t sign him when you like to play with a high defense. Could be an interesting target for a Premier League team as a back-up.
Add some experience to your team by signing this ball-winning defensive midfielder in FM18. After a long spell at West Brom, Mulumbu left for Norwich City, relegating from the Premier League with the Canaries. Mulumbu is a physical player, that can be used as an Anchor man in front of your defense, closing gaps. With over 160 Premier League games under his belt, Mulumbu is a player you could definitely use in your FM18 save. Useful player for some Premier League teams and a good player for almost every Championship team.
Attacking full-back or wing-back that plays on the left side of the pitch. Tremoulinas is an experienced defender that still has a lot to offer. Despite being over 30, the former French international is still very fast and shows some good attacking skills. If his FM18 profile will be anything like his FM17 profile, he will be considered a very good signing for a lot of top flight teams. He left Sevilla this summer, but could easily be picked up by clubs on that level.
At the age of 35 Kolo Touré will soon be retiring from the game. But before he does end his career, pick him up for his experience. Despite his physique has declined massively, mentally he still could be a very good addition to your team. He has a very positive personality and he could be mentoring your young centre-backs. Kolo could be a very good signing in FM18 if you need an experienced tutor for your young wonderkids.
Are you looking for a good back-up goalkeeper? Anders Lindegaard could prove to be an ideal signing. The 33-year-old former Danish international has spent many years in England and spent most of his time on the bench as a back-up. With his experience he could be a valuable asset to your team. He could be tutoring your young goalkeepers and when facing an injury wave, you would have no problem sending him onto the pitch. Decent back-up player for some Premier League teams.
Former Ajax midfielder Eyong Enoh left Belgian side Standard Liege this summer in the hope to return to England. The 30-year-old Cameroon international is a decent ball-winner with a positive attitude and a good mentality. He is a good ball-winner and he has the physical ability to fight for every ball. Enoh could prove to be a decent signing for some teams in the Championship.
