Part 5 - A new Adventure

Ever heard that story of the guy that leaves a club before one match has even been played? Well Roger Speed can tell you more about that! Without playing one single match for my Czech club FC Chomutov, I have left the club for a new adventure. Want to know why I left and where my new adventure lies?

Leaving Chomutov

Why did I leave Chomutov so quickly? Well when I signed on at the club, I could not imagine the frustration of being an amateur side. Players leaving on any moment, not able to sign players on loan and not being able to sign players from a certain quality. I knew before the season started that we would be one of the small teams in the league and that we would be battling against relegation. At a club which expects me to challenge for the title, that could only mean one thing; getting the sack! So before the season has started and before all the frustrations begin I have left the club.

New Adventure

Did I leave the club by terminating my contract? No, I did not. When I was processing the game I received an offer from another club. At first I did not wanted to reply, but then I started thinking. An amateur club, my star players leaving without receiving a fee..was that what I really wanted? The offer I received came from a Semi-Professional club. That would mean I would have a budget to work with and I would get a salary. The last bit isn't that much important, but having a budget to sign players with is very important.

After some thought I decided to step into a new adventure an take on the job as the new Manager at:

Indeed a good move when you're getting frustrated already there. Good luck at Valdres!
