FM24 - Best Players & Wonderkids to avoid

Lazy Dec 13, 2023 Last modified: 13 Dec 13,236 views

On this list you will find the players and wonderkids you should be avoiding in Football Manager 2024. Do not sign these!

Few things in Football Manager are more frustrating than purchasing a player only to witness them constantly plagued by injuries. It's not just a drain on your budget, but you're essentially paying a player to recover from yet another setback. This is precisely why we delved deep into the FM24 database to identify players with a high likelihood of getting injured. You can easily spot this attribute labeled as 'Injury Proneness.'

What is Injury Proneness?

In Football Manager terms: How likely a player is to suffer an injury during a match or training. This is a hidden attribute in Football Manager and can't be seen in the profile of a player. You can judge a player's injury proneness by viewing his past injuries and looking at the scout or coach report.

People often wonder: Is it better to have a player with a high Injury Proneness or a low one? Well, the simple answer is: having a high Injury Proneness isn't better. It actually means there's a bigger chance that the player might get injured.

But, here's the catch. A high Injury Proneness doesn't mean the player will always be injured. It just means there's a higher risk. By taking good care of the player, keeping an eye on their fitness, and checking their profile for their Condition, Match Fitness, and Jadedness, you can help reduce the chances of them getting hurt.

Basically, it's like this: the higher the Injury Proneness, the higher the risk, but it's not a sure thing. Monitoring their fitness and giving them rest when needed can help prevent injuries.
